Until December 19, 2025, three establishments in Nice are inviting residents and visitors to donate toys to support the Green Santas campaign. This initiative is part of a solidarity action that has been ongoing for many years to help those in need.
The end of the year will see a new solidarity action in the three hotels of the 3A Hรดtels La Collection group. The West End Hotel, the Aston La Scala Hotel, and the Beau Rivage Hotel will organize a toy drive for the Secours populaire des Alpes-Maritimes. The operation started yesterday, Friday, November 28, and will conclude three weeks later on Friday, December 19, 2025. Participants can drop off toys, books, stuffed animals, puzzles, and board gamesโฆ at the base of the Christmas trees installed in each establishment.
On December 19, the volunteers from the association will come to collect the donations. The volunteers from Secours Populaire des Alpes-Maritimes, who will be dressed as Green Santas for the occasion, indicate that they “will come to collect all the donations, which will then be offered for sale at the association’s charity sale.” This sale will help fund the purchase of new items for children supported by Secours Populaire during the holidays.
Previous editions have gathered nearly 1,500 toys each year. This collection is open to both residents and tourists in Nice during this period. The items must be in good condition, complete, and not wrapped for safety reasons.
A lasting commitment alongside local associations
This action is part of regular mobilization by the hotel group. The managers highlight: “since 2019, 3A Hรดtels La Collection has been regularly involved in civic and charitable actions.” In 2025, the teams also participated in the Pink October campaign and helped raise over โฌ9,588 for the SOS Breast Cancer association.
The Green Santas campaign, launched in 1976 in the Alpes-Maritimes, provides material and moral support to families in need. The association also reminds us that “since its creation in 1945, Secours Populaire Franรงais has been fighting daily against poverty and exclusion, thanks to the commitment of thousands of volunteers.”
In this context, the participation of private entities like 3A Hรดtels La Collection helps enhance the visibility of the operation. The collection points set up in three busy locations in the city center make access easier for everyone.
An operation geared towards families
The collection aims to provide a festive moment for the most vulnerable children. The toys collected will be part of Secours Populaire’s charity sale, with the proceeds used to finance the purchase of new items. The goal is to enable each family to enjoy a dignified celebration, through easier access to donations.
The organizers remind that participation is simple: toys can be dropped off at the three establishments until December 19 at noon. The on-site teams welcome donors without any specific formalities. The appeal is addressed to both individuals and visitors.
This new edition of the Green Santas builds on seven years of experience. The hotel group thus confirms its willingness to maintain a presence in the local associative network. The actions carried out throughout the year demonstrate a coherence between internal projects and support for external initiatives.
As the holidays approach, this collection once again highlights an accessible and useful gesture. It invites everyone to donate a toy in good condition and to participate in a solidarity initiative that has become a fixture in the city of Nice. The Green Santas will make their rounds on December 19, before the charity sale takes place. It serves as a reminder that the holidays are also a time of sharing for the most fragile families.
