“The Gym welcomes Stade Brestois this Saturday.”

Latest News

Tomorrow at 9 PM, OGC Nice will play their 9th match of the season at home against Stade Brestois, currently 18th in the standings.

After two away games against Lorient (0-1) and Saint Etienne (0-3), the Aiglons will return to Allianz Riviera and their supporters for this 9th matchday of Ligue 1 to face Stade Brestois, who are 19th and second to last in Ligue 1.

The Breton team, which has not managed a single win since the beginning of the season, is coming off two consecutive defeats. Brest and their coach, Michel Der Zakarian, are thus in urgent need to respond and have had to prepare for this match carefully.
They will need to watch several players, as despite having only scored 9 goals, Brest has several quality offensive players.
Romain Faivre, Steve Mounie, Franck Honorat, Irvin Cardona, and Romain Del Castillo could cause problems for Nice’s defense, even though that sector has been shining since the start of the season.

To face the second to last in the standings, Christophe Galtier will be able to rely on an almost complete squad with the returns of Hicham Boudaoui and Kasper Dolberg, as announced by their coach:
“They have trained almost all week. Not at the start of it, but gradually they participated in the sessions. Today, they completed the entire session and yesterday a large part. They are available for the group. In their cases, there is no concern about muscle injuries where there could be uncertainties or playing time management. These were injuries related to knocks, contacts, so they can start the match.”

Probable line-ups:

OGC Nice: in 4-4-2

Benitez – Lotomba, Dante, Daniliuc, Bard – Stengs, Lemina, Thuram, Kamara – Gouiri, Delort

Absentees: Atal (Suspended), Kluivert (hamstring injury), Bambu (shoulder dislocation)

Stade Brestois: in 4-2-3-1

Bizot – Pierre-Gabriel, Chardonnet, Brassier, Uronen – Agoumé, Mbock – Honorat, Faivre, Del Castillo – Mounié

If Nice manages to extend Brest’s losing streak and Lens and Marseille do not win their respective matches (against Reims and Lille), Galtier’s men could claim second or third place.
