After the 2 km Haribo Kid’s Run, 2 km Haribo Family Run, and 5 km La Niçoise Haribo which were held yesterday late afternoon in a friendly and family atmosphere, this morning we move on to more serious matters with the two highlights of this 25th edition of the Nice Half Marathon organized by Azur Sport Organisation: the 10 km Hoka One One and 21.1 km Hoka One One.

In terms of numbers, this 25th edition already promises to be a new record edition with nearly 12,000 registered participants in the various events.

In terms of the race, the Kenyans will be the favorites.

For the men, all eyes will be on Kenyan Kennedy KIPYEKO, winner of the 2014 edition in 1h01’31’’, credited with a personal best of 1h00’39’’.

For the women, the victory is expected to go unsurprisingly to Kenyan Linah CHERUTO, who finished second in the last Karlovy Vary Half Marathon (Prague) in 1h10’22.

As a reminder, the records of the Nice International Half Marathon have been held since 2012 by Bernard KOECH at 59’57’’ and by Edith MASAÏ since 2011 at 1h07’53’’.
