Today, starting at 1:30 PM, the engines of the Santa Claus bikers from the “Harley du Cœur” will roar through the pathways of L’Archet in Nice, and their sacks will be filled with toys intended for children hospitalized in the Pediatric Hemato-oncology departments, among others.
This festive surprise afternoon was made possible thanks to the active collaboration of the University Hospital Center (CHU), medical teams, and supporting teams. More than thirty children of all ages will receive a visit from the big-hearted bikers, who will personally hand them the new toys that were collected for them during a major charity weekend at the Carrefour Nice Lingostière shopping center.
The biker Santa Claus with a big heart will therefore return a few days early to place gifts under the Christmas tree for the children weakened by illness, towards whom the efforts of the members of the “Les Harley du Cœur” association are always directed.
This association was founded more than 25 years ago by Claude Abejan, who tells us, “These children give us real lessons in courage and life, they never complain, they face illness with strength. They are our little protégés, seeing their faces light up, their smiles and joy when we arrive, it is priceless!”
Some of the partners who regularly support and help the association will also be present, such as David Faure, president of the “Toques Brûlées” and his wife, who notably organize, with their accomplices, the major charity picnic alongside the big-hearted bikers “1 toy = 1 lunch” each year at the beginning of summer in the Cimiez gardens, in partnership with the City of Nice particularly.
A truly lovely moment of sharing is on the agenda today for the bikers with hearts as big as this!
