Three weeks after a highly intense storm that led to historic records of rainfall over the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur, particularly on the heights and in the Valleys, it was supposed to be the Solidarity Weekend with the live performance event “06 mobilized” for the benefit of the victims.
More than 200 artists were scheduled to perform from Saturday, October 31st from 2 PM to 8 PM, to Sunday, November 1st from 11 AM to 6 PM across two stages, Théâtre de la cité and Théâtre de Verdure, to raise funds, all of which were to be donated to the victims.
The intention was noble, but the “little beast” thwarted this generosity. For health reasons, the organizers decided to cancel the event. It will be rescheduled for a later date.
What else can be said except to express regret and still thank those who endeavored to make such a beautiful and generous idea possible.
As they say in these situations, …ad maiora!
