The Hells Drivers: 30 Years of Spectacular Stunts

Latest News

For 30 years, the Hells Drivers have traveled across France with their impressive stunts. Marine Danglade tells the story and evolution of this family show.

It all started 30 years ago, when the director’s father discovered stunt shows in the United States. Marine Danglade explains that “It was Jean Danglade, Stรฉphane’s father, the current director, who created this after a trip to the USA. Over there, this type of show already existed.” The concept, brought back to France, quickly took root and continues to captivate audiences today.

A Meticulous Preparation

Despite the experience, rehearsals remain essential to ensure the quality of the show. Marine specifies that “Each year, we rehearse from December to March to set everything up. Then we rehearse in each city.” This organization allows the show to adapt to the specificities of each location, thus guaranteeing a flawless performance.

The show offers car stunts, freestyle motocross, and Monster Trucks. Marine indicates that there are “movie actions, motocross freestyle with 23m jumps, and Monster Trucks crushing cars.” Children also enjoy Transformer robots and characters from Cars, creating a memorable experience for the whole family.

Maximum Security for All

Safety is a top priority. Each stunt is rehearsed to minimize risks. Marine emphasizes that “There are safety barriers, and a distance is always maintained between the track and the audience.” These measures help to ensure a safe show, both for artists and spectators.

Among the highlights, Marine recalls a special guest: “The rally champion Sรฉbastien Loeb was in the audience. He participated in a stunt, it was incredible.” Amusing anecdotes, like spectators participating unwittingly, also add some lightness to the show.

A FunZone to Wait Before the Show

The FunZone offers two hours of entertainment before each performance. Marine explains that “Children can have fun for free on inflatable structures, while adults enjoy food services.Monster Truck rides are also very popular, a unique experience only available at the show.

Tickets are sold on-site, and promotion relies mainly on word of mouth and social media. Marine specifies that “People are happy and come back every year. It attracts more and more people.” This audience loyalty greatly contributes to the success of the show.

The show has modernized over the years. Marine explains that “Before, there were only cars and motorcycles. Now, we have Monster Trucks, freestyle, and Transformer robots.” Each year, new elements are introduced to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

Promoting Mechanical Sports All Over France

By performing in numerous cities, both large and small, the Hells Drivers help popularize mechanical sports. “We try to reach big cities, but also smaller ones, and even some European cities,” says Marine. This accessibility allows a broad audience to discover stunts they wouldn’t see elsewhere.

Don’t miss the last performances of the Hells Drivers in Nice at M.I.N d’Azur: Friday, October 11 at 8:00 PM, Saturday, October 12 at 2:30 PM and 8:00 PM, and Sunday, October 13 at 2:30 PM.
