“The 3rd Festa de la Countรจa de Nissa” will take place all day on Saturday, July 25th in Clans, in the Tinรฉe Valley. The festivities will start quietly before the temperature rises in the evening. With local food, historic buildings, and traditional games, neither the young nor the old will be bored.

The festival will kick off around 10 a.m. Regardless of the planned activity, county residents and other visitors will be overwhelmed with stimuli.
First, the taste. Spotlight on local specialties served continuously, including pan bagnat and socca. To accompany these traditional dishes, the refreshment stand will serve Malongo coffee, a Nice-based company founded in 1934. Or the “Fach en Countรฉa,” the county beer produced in Saint-Martin Vรฉsubie.
The public will also be dazzled by the lush landscape of Clans. Visiting three chapels and churches will highlight Clans’ heritage.
Sports enthusiasts will head to the pilou and vitou (card game) tournaments that will last all day. A demonstration of Mourra, another local game, will be organized in the mid-afternoon.
The Nissart language is not forgotten. The festival’s patron, Manon Temoulet, will host a language introduction game for children.

A lively evening

Culturally, Nice’s associations of all categories will be very present. For example, AEACA brings together publishers from the French Riviera. They help local culture survive. The eight members of this association will give a conference.
A historical figure from the Nice bastion will be honored. This year, it’s Zรฉphirin Castellon, born in Vรฉsubie in 1926, who will be spotlighted. He has been an inspiration for many musicians in the county.
A busy day indeed, but it will not be over yet. Far from it.
At 7:30 p.m., guests will be invited to sit down at the table. The menu will naturally include Nice specialties. Ratatouille and panisse will accompany the roast beef.
Once everyone’s taste buds are satisfied, the usual “balรฉti” will take place. A popular dance event led by two local music groups who are regulars at the event. “Lu Barbalรนcou” and “Lu Rauba Capรจu” will make attendees dance to the rhythm of accordions and other brass instruments. For the most energetic, don’t worryโ€”the atmosphere will explode with the “Techno remix nissart” planned for the finale.
