Very good news for Côte d’Azur University: the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and the General Secretariat for Investment have confirmed the excellence initiative of Côte d’Azur University “UCA Jedi”.
Côte d’Azur University thus joins Grenoble Alpes University, University of Bordeaux, University of Strasbourg, Aix-Marseille University, Sorbonne University, Paris Sciences et Lettres, and Paris-Saclay University.
In 2016, Côte d’Azur University obtained the highly coveted “IDEX” Future Investment Program, following the selection of the project by an international jury. In four years, a total of 58 million Euros have been injected into research, training, and innovation in the Côte d’Azur region.
By achieving this goal, Côte d’Azur University has been granted, since January 1, 2020, the status of an experimental university.
Finally, the IDEX has enabled a change in scale of the international ambitions of Côte d’Azur University, as illustrated by the establishment of a privileged partnership with Laval University in Canada and the co-construction of campuses abroad.
For Jeanick Brisswalter, President of Côte d’Azur University: “The sustainability of the IDEX UCA label now allows us to envision Côte d’Azur University as the world-class university that the Côte d’Azur needs to succeed in transforming its growth model in response to the major challenges of the 21st century.”
