The 2014 edition of the In&Out Encounters has come to a close after ten days of screenings that captivated a large audience who responded to the organizers’ call. This festival now has its rightful place on the international festival calendar.

Once again, it was the Mamac auditorium, as for the opening session, that served as the venue for the final screening with a film previously unseen in Nice, with a title that evokes a masterpiece of classic cinematography: WHO’S AFRAID OF VAGINA WOLF by Anna Margarita Albelo.

This underground lesbian remake is a “highly fictionalized autofiction, as funny as it is dark.” Indeed, beneath its guise as a charming romantic comedy, the film conceals a genuine reflection on lesbian life, coming out, love, friendship, as well as self-acceptance and family.

The “Inside Out” Closing Night continued at Bar Bitch where organizers and friends celebrated a truly top-notch 2014 vintage.
