The time to dive back in has arrived for French swimming: Camille Lacourt, who is in his final season, Charlotte Bonnet, and rising star Jordan Pothain are returning to the pool from Friday to Sunday in Nice.
The Nice International Meeting is already in its fifth annual edition. The event aims to provide the French national team swimmers with optimal preparation and performance conditions just a few months before the French Championships in Schiltigheim, which serve as qualifiers for the 2017 World Championships in Budapest.
Charlotte Bonnet (21 years old), leader of the French women’s team, already returned to the water a week ago.
She will swim the 100 m and 200 m freestyle and will also test herself in breaststroke (50 m and 100 m) and butterfly (50 m). As in Luxembourg, the Nice native will notably compete against the pool marathoner, Katinka Hosszu. The tireless Hungarian, triple Olympic champion last summer in Rio, is entered in sixteen events!
