The 138th session approved in Tokyo a new motto for the Olympic movement. The historic triptych “Faster, Higher, Stronger” has been enriched with a new word, “Together,” meant to illustrate the need for solidarity during challenging times.
Thomas Bach explained to the audience: *”We must adapt the motto to our era. Collaborative effort achieves faster and better results than working alone. This is an important step in our development, sending a clear signal.”* The new motto will now be: “Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together.”
