The Italian-French friendship highlighted during a public gathering

Latest News

This event, as a testament to Franco-Italian friendship, probably took place on the least opportune day, the day of reassessing differences between the two countries with the return to Rome of the French Ambassador.

With diplomatic relations back to normal, the gathering – not really a popular demonstration – organized by the mayor of Nice could not go beyond a simple expression of goodwill between close cousins.

The words of the mayor of Cuneo, Federico Borgna, who spoke on behalf of the few colleagues present, and of Christian Estrosi himself, “the businesses that thrive here, the exchanges that provide so much work to so many French and Italian families, the women and men who have chosen to live here, to raise their families here, to establish their homes here, the visitors who discover our landscapes, our heritage, our events,” concluded with a resounding, “Cari amici italiani, a Nizza, siete a casa, per sempre!” clearly expressed this sentiment.

In fact, nobody ever doubted it, but it’s not bad either that in these confusing times, it is strongly reiterated … at Garibaldi Square!!!
