Since the creation of the program, Charles Scibetta, a professor of strategic event management, has been asking his students to organize conferences. These events allow them to meet and interact with event professionals in a more convivial setting.
Six students from the professional degree in Event Communication at the IUT of Sophia-Antipolis are organizing a conference on private events as part of this program. Speakers will be present to share their experiences. This conference will take place this Friday, November 29th, at the IUT.
This year, 3 private event experts are invited to share their respective experiences in this sector with the future professionals of the program.
This exchange, in the form of a debate, will allow them to gain insights into the profession through valuable advice, understand the essential qualities needed to meet advertisers’ demands, the challenges that may arise, and how to handle the unexpected. They will also have the opportunity to obtain contacts for their internships.
A wide range of elements that will help students in their future professional lives.
The conference speakers will be:
• Ms. Estelle Jiguet, director of the event agency Riva Event
• Mr. Jean Dierickx, director of the event agency Dierickx
• Ms. Kerry Bracken, director of the wedding-planning agency Lavender&Rose
They will be able to concretely address the question “How can we best respond to clients’ requirements when organizing private events?” by sharing their approach to organizing private events and detailing the difficulties they have encountered over the years in their event structures.
