The jazz season starts at La Note Bleue with an unprecedented concert on Friday, May 15 featuring Néoma, a new band led by drummer Alain Asplanato. The quartet presents a repertoire of compositions of a new kind. Between new jazz, funk, and groove, Néoma explores a vast repertoire influenced by the journeys of these four stage musicians. A truly innovative project, where creativity is expressed through a world of improvisations. (Sébastien Chaumont: saxophone, Léo Giannola: guitar, Antonio Sgro: bass, Alain Asplanato: drums).

On May 16, the essential Dona Flor and her four “husbands” offer us an evening with Brazilian colors. Warmth and friendliness are key! They will inaugurate this first week of Live Music at La Note Bleue. (Dona Flor: vocals, Eric Alberti: piano, Franck Ledonne: bass, René Figliolini: drums, Jean-Luc Danna: percussion). From May to August, La Note Bleue hosts many talented artists. Under the direction of drummer Alain Tanzi and double bassist Marc Peillon, La Note Bleue’s program features more than sixty musical ensembles. A program that is both eclectic and sophisticated, yet remains accessible to all audiences.

Every month La Note Bleue features a thematic exhibition by photographer Roch Armando. The Lounge is redecorated to reflect the musicians who played there last year. For the month of May, find the theme “saxophonists” and coming up in June, the focus will be on “drummers”…
