This day will be both the national holiday and a tribute to the victims of the July 14, 2016 attack.
At several times during the day and in various locations, everyone will have the opportunity to participate in this day.
Those who wish can decorate their balconies or windows with the tricolor flag.
The Memorial at Villa Massรฉna
An interfaith ceremony reserved for families will take place at 11:30 AM.
From 4:00 PM to midnight, the gardens of the Villa Massรฉna will be open to the public, allowing people to come and pay their respects at the Memorial.
The Parade and Municipal Tribute Ceremony
From 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Place Massรฉna will host the military parade as well as the municipal tribute ceremony in the presence of Prime Minister Edouard Philippe and civil and military authorities.
A secured space will be available for the public, within the limit of available seats (1,200 people). A giant screen on the Pedestrian Zone side will also allow people to watch the parade and municipal tribute ceremony live.
The Philarmonic Tribute Concert
A tribute concert will be held from 9:15 PM to 10:25 PM with the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra and the exceptional participation of Patrick Fiori.
Entry is free within the limit of available seats (1,900 people).
Balloon Release and Light Beams
At the end of the tribute concert, at 10:34 PM, 86 balloons will be released into the Nice sky from Jardin Albert I. At the same time, 86 light beams will be projected into the Nice sky from the Promenade des Anglais.
