Junior Enterprises have existed in France for over 40 years and serve to connect the student world with the professional world by offering expertise to young people and a pool of talent to companies.
Operating on the model of consulting firms, Junior Enterprises are student associations based in universities (or in schools). They allow students to deepen their understanding of their professional field, create a network of contacts, and thus improve their future integration.
As of today, the University Nice Sophia Antipolis has 3 junior enterprises: Junior MIAGE Concept, Sophia Junior Consulting, and i2SA Junior-Enterprise.
Thanks to the experience gained since its inception, the Junior MIAGE Concept supports the other two junior enterprises at the University, Sophia Junior Consulting and Junior I2SA, through two sponsorship agreements to help them develop.
IT Engineering and Information and Communication Technologies
Junior MIAGE Concept was the first Junior Enterprise to be established at the University Nice Sophia Antipolis and, since March 2013, has been among the 30 best Junior Enterprises in France. It offers services in IT engineering and information and communication technologies. Created in September 2007, it originates from the MIAGE training program (applied computer methods in business management). Its services include web development, the design and development of applications and software, the design, creation, implementation, and migration of databases, and information systems consultancy.
Business Strategies and International Development
Sophia Junior Consulting was created in August 2010; it comes from the Institute of Higher Economics and Management of the University Nice Sophia Antipolis. Located in Sophia-Antipolis, it offers services in strategy and international trade, finance and accounting, marketing, and communication.
Quality Approach and Risk Management
The i2SA Junior Enterprise was created last April by students of the professional master’s program “Engineering for Health Systems and Autonomy” at the Faculty of Medicine of the University Nice Sophia Antipolis. As a junior enterprise, its role is to position itself as a consulting firm for companies to provide expertise in quality approach and risk management (awareness of ISO standards, waste management, risk mapping, regulatory and legal monitoring, etc.).
