Nice Premium had the opportunity to meet these three phenomena and met with them over a “pastis abattus” to ask why salvation goes through the Kalu?
Nice Premium: Kalu, what is it?
Kalu: A young company from Nice founded by three Kalu who are passionate about Nissa and “nissartitude”. The founding idea is to defend our identity by spreading good cheer through offering high-quality humorous t-shirts made in our region.
And when we see someone wearing one of our t-shirts, we are over the moon!
NP: Online, soon in stores?
Kalu: Yes, we already have a few points of sale, but we’re really in the early stages. We receive a more than warm welcome in the shops where we offer our products, and we take this opportunity to thank the shopkeepers from Nice who, contrary to what Parisians say, are super welcoming.
Soon on the website, we will have a section ” where to find Kalu?“.
NP: What would you never put on a t-shirt?
Kalu: Something hurtful or that would harm the moral integrity of a person or group of people, something sad as well.
The idea is really to do things with a smile, without violence, without hatred, and without tears.
NP: Aren’t you more Socca “and” Kebab?
Kalu: Well, it actually depends on the time… more seriously at the aperitif, we are more… EVERYTHING!
Socca, Kebab, tapas, blinis, merenda. Depriving oneself for misplaced ideology, what a sadness. There are already clowns taking care of that… we’ll let them.
Both socca and kebab from a dietary point of view aren’t too good, right?
NP: Any other blunders in store?
Kalu: Huuuuu! We’ve registered 33 designs with “Lienne Pi” but we’ll release them slowly, we’ve got time. Tell people to buy “those ones” first so we can release the others.
NP: Finally, Kalu… putting peace in the municipal elections or are we going to get sarcastic t-shirts?
Kalu: No way! There are already so many good people taking care of politics that we’re going to let them do it. Now if they start making t-shirts, we’ll start making politics. We’ll rather make models for the beautiful ladies of Nice.
