Success is found in the generosity of donors, the activity of the healthcare teams, and the volunteers like the Ladies of Lenval who work to improve both the material and immaterial conditions for the benefit of sick children.
Led masterfully by Mrs. Christiane Scoffier, its president, the Lenval Ladies’ Committee presented the actions undertaken thanks to the proceeds of the 2015 Gala and announced the next Gala, which will take place on November 25 at the Palais des Congrès Nice Acropolis.
A significant event that provides almost all the funds for the actions carried out by the Ladies of Lenval.
The profits from the Lenval Ladies’ Gala 2015 amounted to €95,391, of which €45,000 was allocated to medical equipment and more than €45,000 to workshops, stays, and other recreational-therapeutic equipment for the services.
The 2015 Gala proceeds made it possible to finance the purchase of medical equipment for two cutting-edge projects, amounting to approximately €45,000:
The purchase of a urological laser (€30,580), which enables the development of investigative methods for children that yield excellent results in adults.
The purchase of a gastric insufflator (€12,216) allows for the radiological diagnosis and treatment of intestinal obstruction in young children, thus avoiding a much riskier surgical procedure. This device safely reduces acute intestinal intussusceptions in children. The CHU Nice Lenval pediatric hospitals are the first establishment in France to be equipped with it.
The purchase of a patient lift, which effectively assists in handling and weighing overweight children. Furthermore, its ergonomic design aids caregivers’ work, providing optimal safety and efficiency rules for overweight children.
Arnault Pouillart, General Director of the Lenval Foundation, specified that “the actions of the Ladies of Lenval are fully integrated into the Foundation’s innovative projects.”
