To celebrate the Year 2000, an exceptional event was created: a weekend of country concerts featuring a renowned orchestra and an internationally reputed soloist. Crazy musical days filled with emotions and highlights!
“Les Folies des Lacs” invites you every year on the third weekend of July at the edge of Lake La Colmiane. Music lovers and newcomers alike gather in increasing numbers each year to resonate to the sounds of classical, jazz and world music in this idyllic setting.
The event’s reputation was enhanced by participants such as Bruno Rigutto, Olivier Gardon, Gabriel Tacchino, Rubèn Simeo, Mickael Rudy, Pablo Lago Soto, the Republican Guard, the French Army Choirs, not to mention the Cannes PACA Regional Orchestra directed by the remarkable conductor Philippe Bender, and the virtuoso pianist François-René Duchâble who will return at the 2013 edition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his “new artistic life.” He will again leave his original mark on the Folies des Lacs.
On the program for this Sunday, July 21 – “Pianos in Madness”
11:00 am: Musical parade “Jazz Alpes Orchestra”
on the La Colmiane plateau followed by a descent to the lake for a picnic (bring your own or food available on site).
