In a statement, OGC Nice announced yesterday that the contract of Brazilian forward Adeilson (25 years old) has been terminated.
Having transferred from Ipatinga in 2009, the player appeared only eleven times on the Ligue 1 fields. As soon as his contract was terminated, Adeilson returned to his home country. He will now wear the colors of Criciuma (Brazilian Second Division).
Moreover, the club is parting ways with Jonathan Quartey, who was loaned last season to Samsunspor in Turkey. The Ghanaian defender also played only eleven times in Ligue 1.
Geoffrey Tulasne will not be retained by the Nice staff.
On trial for a week under the orders of Éric Roy, the FC Sochaux midfielder (23 years old), does not seem to have convinced the Côte d’Azur coach. The latter, eager to strengthen his attacking sector, wishes to prioritize the signing of a forward.
Forced to withdraw from the Copa America due to a double nasal fracture, Colombian David Ospina returned to Nice on Saturday. The OGC Nice goalkeeper will be present with his teammates at the training camp in Megève (Haute-Savoie), which started this Monday.
