For the fifth consecutive year, the LENVAL Foundation is launching an information campaign aimed at taxpayers subject to the Wealth Solidarity Tax. Indeed, since 2008, the law allows these taxpayers to deduct 75% of the amount of their donations to a foundation recognized for public utility from their tax. Residents of the Côte d’Azur subject to the ISF can, if they wish, extend their generosity to sick children of the Côte d’Azur, through a foundation that has supported them for 125 years.
From the beginning, its statutes give the Foundation the mission of receiving all children, without condition of resources and without distinction of creed or nationality.
Every year, children without any social coverage, whether they reside in France or in other countries, are thus welcomed and cared for by the LENVAL teams.
This philanthropic spirit, which is at the core of the work of Baron de LENVAL, has received constant support from all the residents of the Côte d’Azur since the beginning. Thus, it is thanks to donations and bequests made to the Foundation that the LENVAL premises have been progressively reconstructed over the past years.
Donations and bequests have always played a decisive role in the development of LENVAL.
Indeed, it is thanks to the generosity of the people of Nice and the residents of the Côte d’Azur that the Foundation has been able to grow from the original two beds to the current structure.
The donations collected under the ISF have been primarily allocated to the main project of 2012: the continuation of the fittings and the financing of the Marina Picasso Center in Nice Maréchal Joffre.
The Maison de Adolescents, created in 2007 on Scaliero Blvd, welcomes all young people from the Alpes-Maritimes department, aged 12 to 20, for free and without an appointment. It offers them a place to talk about their difficulties in a friendly environment specially designed for them.
The LENVAL Foundation has relocated the Maison des Adolescents, now called the Marina Picasso Center, to Maréchal Joffre Blvd in Nice, in new premises that it acquired and were inaugurated on March 28, 2012, under the high patronage of Mrs. Bernadette Chirac by Mrs. Marina Picasso. The new structure spans 800 square meters in the heart of Nice for a total investment of 2.7 million euros.
In 2011, 657 adolescents (483 of whom were new) were seen for consultations, totaling 1,461 people. The MDA teams performed more than 3,424 procedures.
“I would like to highlight the remarkable dedication of the LADIES OF LENVAL, who organize the ANNUAL GALA every year, with proceeds benefiting the children of Lenval. I thank Mrs. SCOFFIER and her team, who have been working tirelessly for several years,” said Pierre Costa, president of the Lenval Foundation.
In continuing and concluding: “The importance of donations and bequests to LENVAL for undertaking new projects. This is why donations have significant importance for the development of the Lenval hospital, even if they only average 2,000,000 euros each year, compared to the expenses and revenues related to the activities of the establishments, which are around 60,000,000 euros.”
These donations allow the Lenval hospital to have perfectly adapted premises and technical facilities that are at the cutting edge of progress, ensuring, in line with the Foundation’s vocation, the best care for sick children.”
