The Côte d’Azur LGBT Center supports Sidaction throughout its entire campaign, including the “action weekend” which ends this Sunday.
Created in 1994, Sidaction is based on one principle: bringing together research and the associative community. Sidaction equally funds research programs and associations that provide help to patients and support prevention efforts, both in France and internationally.
Today, 35 million people worldwide are living with HIV, including 3.2 million children. In France, 150,000 people have HIV, and 6,200 people are diagnosed with HIV each year. Several thousand people carry the virus without knowing it.
Moreover, the Côte d’Azur LGBT Center, along with other associations like Les Ouvreurs and various venues, will participate in the auction organized this Monday from 10 PM at the bar Le Malabar Station, rue Bonaparte, in aid of Sidaction.
Thanks to the LGBTQI COC (Lou Queernaval’s Organizing Committee), a statue designed by the Nice artist Moya, crafted by carnival carver Pignataro, and featured on the opening float of Lou Queernaval on February 27th, will be put up for auction, with the funds collected being donated to Sidaction.
