The Little Festival in Bonson: Art, Culture, and Social Connection

Latest News

15 years already, a “little” history…

In 2003, the artist Jean MAS, a member of the École de Nice, and Jean-Marie AUDOLI, the mayor of Bonson, brought to life the idea of a festival where every inhabitant of the village would create their own artwork. Over the years, the festival has continued to offer a unique experience, aiming to reconsider creation outside the usual norms of the art world.

This year, it will take place over three long weekends: from June 30th to July 2nd, from July 6th to July 9th, and from July 13th to July 16th.

The event is atypical even in its mode of presentation. The exhibition takes over the entire village, in both conventional and unexpected spaces.

Embracing all modes of expression, from monumental art to performance, showcasing the works of emerging artists as well as those of established creators, the Festival du Peu now represents a unique offering in the artistic landscape of the Côte d’Azur.

The festive spirit of the people of Bonson complements this cultural program with convivial meals open to all visitors of the exhibition. The event’s aim, beyond the artistic interest, is to strengthen social bonds and encourage new forms of initiatives.

The Festival du Peu promotes art awareness across all generations, encourages new ideas, and facilitates participation from everyone.

The majority of the artists in the exhibition are from the PACA region, but the festival also welcomes artists from all over France. Since 2003, 180 artists have exhibited at the Festival du Peu.
