The luminous decorations by the children of Lenval on the Promenade du Paillon

Latest News

Philippe Pradal, First Deputy Mayor of Nice, Geneviève Lompre, President of Les Dames de Lenval, and Monique Barthélémy representing the association Les Blouses Roses inaugurated yesterday evening, on La Coulée Verte, an installation of drawings made by sick children over the past few months.

The City of Nice, the Lenval Foundation, and the association “Les Blouses Roses” organized a drawing contest last September with the hospitalized children of Lenval for the fifth consecutive year. About a hundred drawings were collected thanks to Les Blouses Roses but also with the cooperation of the pediatric service and the different departments of the Hospital. Five of these will be illuminated and displayed.

A jury (comprised of Les Blouses Roses, Les Dames de Lenval, Catherine Moreau, and the specialized techniques department of the works management) convened at the end of October and selected 5 drawings that will become luminous decorations realized by the BLACHERE company.

These luminous decorations will be displayed throughout the end-of-year festivities and until mid-January on the Promenade du Paillon near the children’s play area. About twenty luminous drawings from previous editions have also been installed in the Christmas Village, Rue de Suisse and Traverse Flandres-Dunkerque to bring a bit more magic to the streets of Nice during the holidays.

A distribution of chocolate boxes also took place yesterday evening, and hot chocolate was served to the children present during this unveiling.
