This Sunday, the musical and choreographic show Solo Stockhausen (1997, recreation in 2014) will take place at 5:45 PM at the Simon hall, performed by the soloists of the Ensemble Itinéraire Fuminori Tanada, piano, and Mathieu Steffanus, clarinet, along with the show “Palimpseste” by Michèle Noiret.
In 2001, choreographer and dancer Michèle Noiret presented her Solo Stockhausen (1997) as part of the Manca Festival at the National Theatre of Nice.
Today, 17 years after its creation, she chooses to revisit and reinterpret it, inspired by the film Solo by Thierry Knauff, a cinematic adaptation of the show created in 1997. Michèle Noiret thus creates a kind of Palimpseste, where the old traces of the show and the film are absorbed, integrated, and reinvented in a new version.
Also in 2001, as part of the program, the ensemble “Itinéraire” ensured the first part of the program (this concert notably included the world premiere of “Amok Koma” by Fausto Romitelli, a work that has since been widely distributed around the world).
The organizers are happy to be able to repeat today with a first part of chamber music performed by the two musicians of Itinéraire who are also on stage for the ballet.
