Canceled last week due to bad weather, the Fête des Mai will be inaugurated this Sunday* at 10:30 AM at the Jardins de Cimiez by the city authorities.
On this occasion, the finale of the Queen of May election will also take place!
A friendly festival celebrating the return of sunny days, the Fête des Mai marks the life of Nice throughout the month of May, with the participation of the Lou CAT (Collective of Traditional Arts) association.
On the program for the festivities: music with the Nice folk groups Nice la Belle and La Ciamada Nissarda, numerous concerts and balèti, parades and demonstrations of pìlou and hurdy-gurdy, one-man shows and plays, puppet and ventriloquism shows, a stand for making Galets de Nice, and palhàssou throwing!
