For its seventh edition, the medieval festival of Tourrette-Levens continues its momentum with a single goal: to entertain and amaze its visitors. This year, the world of the medieval bestiary will be at the heart of the program, with many surprises throughout the day.

Thus, legends and superstitions will come to life before the eyes of spectators who will meet enchanted birds, giant praying mantises, and finally, the mythical Wolf of the Steppes, the origin of many stories from a time where reality and imagination intertwine daily.

Several street performances and animations: musicians, knights, jugglers, fire-eaters, will punctuate this festive day and visitors will be able to face the torturer’s instruments and test their courage. The medieval market will also be the place for all discoveries: foodies and shopping enthusiasts will delight and find a multitude of products (wooden toys, nougats, jewelry, belts…). A true tavern will offer tastings of unusual dishes and drinks.

Finally, to fully experience the festival, spectators will have the chance to rent costumes on-site. The public will also be invited to participate in the animations by joining the costume parade or by testing their skills in archery or crossbow.

Children will not be forgotten: besides meeting the knights, the she-wolf “Galina,” and many other colorful characters, they can participate in a pottery workshop and leave with their creation, medieval or not!

Now, the medieval festival of Tourrette-Levens has become a must-attend event in the region. More and more artists and artisans enrich regularly renewed programming, and the public enjoys free access to the site and activities.
