Closed since mid-July, the Mercury cinema, located at Place Garibaldi in Nice, has undergone significant renovations costing โฌ450,000. Co-financed by the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes with โฌ250,000 for accessibility work, and โฌ200,000 by the National Cinema Center for the transition to digital, the enhancements will give this neighborhood family cinema a real facelift. Join us on October 17 for the resumption of screenings.
The Mercury cinema goes digital and is now accessible for people with disabilities!
Regarding accessibility, the commitments made in June during the APF operation “No legs, no cinema” were honored: rooms equipped with spaces for wheelchair users, new emergency exits, and adapted restrooms.
On the technical side, the Mercury cinema enters the digital age while retaining a 35 mm projector for old copies.
