In response to the crisis in Ukraine, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Area decided to organize itself to best accommodate families coming from Ukraine who are seeking refuge in the metropolitan area.
Thus, in collaboration with several Franco-Ukrainian associations, the Metropolis has set up a one-stop support desk within the House for Victim Reception, located at 6 rue Gubernatis in Nice.
This system, which facilitates all administrative and legal procedures, was presented by the President of the Metropolis, Christian Estrosi, in the presence of Minister Emmanuelle Wargon.
“I am presenting this evening to Minister @EmmWargon the system implemented in #Nice06 at the House for Victim Reception to help and welcome the first refugees coming from #Ukraine.” — Christian Estrosi (@cestrosi) March 7, 2022
As of today, 533 calls and 612 messages have already been processed, and 132 refugees have been welcomed and housed in reception residences, including Ukrainian artists who had come from Odessa as part of the Carnival.
This is an initial assessment that will certainly become heavier in the times to come.
