Partnering with the European project “Urban Waste,” funded by the European research and innovation program “Horizon 2020,” the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis is launching a major campaign this week to enhance the fight against plastic pollution in the sea and the preservation of marine biodiversity.
Today, plastics account for 85% of marine debris. These materials contaminate ecosystems, kill marine species, and endanger human health.
