The MoDem 06 is organizing, on May 7 at 9 PM, at the center of Place Garibaldi, an event aimed at the public, passersby, and strollers as part of the European elections: “Reviving the Flame of Europe,” a scenography at the foot of the Garibaldi statue, surrounding the European flag and its stars.
It will be an evocation in lights, words, and music of 150 years of European utopia and reality, to celebrate Europe.
Fabien Benard, president of MoDem 06, explains this initiative: “We will come together to celebrate a generous utopia, born of the Enlightenment, long dreamed of by the great men of the late 19th century.
The journey we are taking you on begins in Nice, with the one whose statue stands in the middle of this square, Giuseppe Garibaldi, the ‘hero of two worlds,’ about whom the great historian Jules Michelet said: ‘I see a hero in Europe, just one, I know no other; his whole life is a legend!’”
So rendezvous tonight starting from 9 PM at Place Garibaldi.
