The Monaco Tourism Office in New York has been voted one of the best official tourism offices (non-U.S. destination) by the readers of Successful Meetings magazine, for the second consecutive year, and will be awarded the prestigious “Pinnacle Award 2012”. A mark of excellence in business tourism, the “Pinnacle Awards” recognize organizations that have provided high-quality service around their meetings, incentives, exhibitions, and convention offerings in the previous year. Winners are designated through an online vote.

Cindy Hoddeson, Director of the Meetings & Incentives department, states: “It is the teamwork of the entire Monaco Government Tourist Office in New York, whose synergy benefits the ‘group’ programs, that has allowed Monaco to stand out. There are, of course, purely practical reasons why event organizers rate Monaco so positively, including dollar-guaranteed packages and VAT refund on accommodation and catering costs. But this distinction also rewards Monaco’s efforts in sustainable tourism and the initiatives encouraging corporate social responsibility, developed each year by our office with the collaboration of the General Consulate in New York and the American branch of the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco.”

In its 28 years of existence, the “Pinnacle Award” has built a credibility and prestigious reputation, a guarantee of excellence for event organizers and service providers. The readers of Successful Meetings magazine—primarily decision-makers in meeting, event, and incentive planning—determine the awardees in the hotel, convention center, and convention bureau categories through an online vote based on their professional experiences. The awardees of the 2012 edition will be added in August to the “Pinnacle Registry,” available in print or electronic format at www.successfulmeetings.com/pinnacle
