Two couples and their children were attacked while taking a walk on bicycles and rollerblades near the ลillets neighborhood in Toulon.
The reason? The two mothers were wearing shorts. About a dozen young men assaulted the women and beat the men in front of the children.
This attack was not the first incident, as a young girl had already been targeted a few weeks ago in the same area.
These indefensible acts were unfortunately predictable: after imposing the burkini (which Mr. Estrosi now regrets banning… voices not to lose!) in the name of the modesty of some, it becomes normal to forbid shorts in the name of the immodesty of others!
But beyond this serious incident, one is allowed to ask a question, a terrible question: what is now the freedom of young girls toโamong other thingsโchoose their clothing?
