This Wednesday marked the inauguration of the Malang Sarr Street Park. The Moulins district now boasts a multisport area designed for street workout enthusiasts and young people.
The inauguration of the Moulins micro-site took place in the presence of the Mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, Michel Bertrand, President of the Adam association, and Malang Sarr, defender of OGC Nice. Christian Estrosi explained, “The Cultural and Sports Animation Center of the city of Nice has been enhanced by a micro-site featuring padel, a mini soccer field, and additional sports areas for boxing and pรฉtanque. This is what we are delivering today with all the associations and clubs under the patronage of Malang Sarr, our local champion from OGC Nice.”
Overall, this fun and sports area includes a 5-a-side soccer field, a Street Workout zone animated by the Accrobarz association, a fitness area, equipment for people with disabilities, a green space with benches, picnic tables, and a micro-site containing 2 pรฉtanque courts. There is something for everyone!
The whole area is adorned with a street art decor: a mural imagined and created by artist Jahwan/Thomas Perez. The Malang Sarr Street Park is already open and used by various nearby sports clubs, such as the St-Isidore club or the boxing club.
“I love these moments shared with association leaders, facilitators, trainers, and especially with dads, moms, and the fantastic youth of this neighborhood who represent much more hope than some can imagine…” concluded Christian Estrosi.
