Every year, officers swap their uniforms for sportswear – whether they are from the Municipal Police, Public Road Surveillance Agents (ASVP), Firefighters, Gendarmes, or Customs Officers – to compete in an urban cross country event.
For its 30th edition, it arrives in Nice this Sunday, at the Parc de la Colline du Château.
There will be over 300 participants starting in the following races: Men’s Veterans, Women’s race specially named “Souvenir Aurélie et Clarissa”, Men’s Seniors, and an open security forces race for National Police Officers, Monégasque Police, Gendarmes, Firefighters, and Customs Officers.
This year, the Cross Country will pay tribute to two officers who lost their lives in the line of duty as municipal policewomen: Aurélie Fouquet and Clarissa Jean-Philippe.
