Our sole intention, by offering this online consultation, was to provide virtual citizens a ballot box in which they could place their next voting intention. Unfortunately, once again, computer security measures were ineffective against someone cleverer who managed to circumvent the new barriers set up to prevent multiple votes.
We are searching for another program that offers greater security, and to this end, we are conducting an online consultation with local computer scientists in the secret hope of finally finding a solution to make electronic voting “tamper-proof.”
We are sorry for this decision, which was not made lightly, and we will update you very soon on the progress of our research.
