The exhibition “Yves Saint Laurent’s Dreamed Asia” takes place from April 6 to October 6, 2019, within the Asian Arts Museum.
The opening of the exhibition was held in the presence of Charles Ange Ginรฉsy, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Department, and Deputy Eric Ciotti.
The Exhibition
It consists of 35 models from India, China, and Japan. Sketches, jewelry, photographs add to Yves Saint Laurent’s collection. The Nice exhibition is an adaptation of the first temporary thematic exhibition of the Musรฉe Yves Saint Laurent Paris, created in 2017.
An exhibition in four parts
The first is devoted to the creative process of the designer, accompanied by a specially made film for the MMA revealing various testimonials.
The second is dedicated to India and its influence on the model designs.
The third delves into Yves Saint Laurent’s inspiration from Japan.
The fourth focuses on China.
The exhibition concludes with a presentation of the OPIUM perfume.
An exceptional art moment that opens up knowledge of the sources of inspiration of the great French designer.
