The first deputy mayor of Nice, Anthony Borré, came to inaugurate a commemorative plaque. He was accompanied by Fatima Khaldi-Bououghroum, Deputy Mayor, delegate for Mediation and the East Territory, as well as family members.
“He is the one who represented peace here since 1990.” With these words, Anthony Borré introduced the person who worked for nearly 25 years in this theater. Moreover, the plaque reads: Louis Heredia, In memory of Agent of the Lino Ventura Theater from 1990 to 2015. The first deputy was pleased with this decision. “This representation of Louis was chosen. What beautiful recognition these words are!”
A whole neighborhood present
About 200 residents of Ariane were present to pay a final tribute to Louis Heredia. “I know that he was someone who mattered in our lives. He left a mark on this place,” recalled the first deputy. As a reminder, it had been a while since it should have been placed. The entire neighborhood was eager to have a place for gathering. “Today was the right day, the plaque is only justice,” concluded the right-hand man of Christian Estrosi.
He also wanted to congratulate the current director of the theater, Alain Sallaberry. “He leads this place with great determination and an openness to the Ariane neighborhood. A meeting was held between the director and city services. There was talk of an urban renovation project, figuring out how we could do a little more for the Lino Ventura Theater. The goal will be to continue making it a place of peace, celebration, production, creation, and gathering.”
