This Friday, during the Regional Council session, the RN “Région Sud” will propose a motion requesting that the Region organize a referendum to ask the residents of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur if they wish to adopt the name “Région Sud” as the usual name.
For this political group, the only opposition to the LR majority, “using the excuse of a simple trademark registration (against which the Rassemblement National group had voted), Renaud Muselier renamed the Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur to call it ‘Région Sud’.”
