Sports journalist and writer, Vincent Duluc is the new chairman of the board of directors of the National Sports Museum.
A senior reporter at the daily newspaper “L’รquipe” for over 20 years and author of numerous authoritative works on football, his favorite discipline, Vincent Duluc (56 years old) was appointed by decree on January 2, 2019, as a qualified personality designated by the Minister of Sports. He succeeds Ms. Annie Lheritier as head of the board of directors of the National Sports Museum.
Created in 1963 and located in Nice since 2014 at the heart of the Allianz Riviera Stadium, the National Sports Museum is the only national museum dedicated to sports in France. It was labeled a โMusรฉe de Franceโ in 2004 and now welcomes more than 60,000 visitors per year.
After the rich sporting successes of 2018 and as France prepares to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024, the enhancement of French sports heritage constitutes a considerable challenge in which the museum is fully engaged. The appointment of Vincent Duluc offers new development perspectives to the establishment, which is planning two major events in 2019 linked to sports news: the Women’s World Cup and the 100th anniversary of the Yellow Jersey.
