After 43 years, the court located on the Franck Pilatte promontory behind the port of Nice has moved to the former premises of Crous (Regional Center for University and School Works) on Avenue des Fleurs.
Extensive renovations (€3 million) have been undertaken to refurbish the building for its new purpose.

The building, owned by the State, was inaugurated by Nicole Belloubet, the Minister of Justice.

On this occasion, during the speeches of the officials, discussions centered on the role and transformation of the administrative judiciary within the framework of the new 2018-2022 programming law and justice reform introduced by Minister Nicole Belloubet, which is currently under examination in Parliament. This includes the novelty of the “citizen appeal,” a new participatory democracy tool that will allow citizens to directly engage with the administrative justice system.

Bruno Lasserre, Vice President of the Council of State, also present at the event, emphasized the role of administrative justice in serving litigants and its ability to adapt to new realities, such as digital transformation and the obligation of mediation, which will free judges from minor cases through the use of honorary magistrates.

The host of the day, the President of the Nice Administrative Court, Mr. Duchon-Doris, took the opportunity to present some statistics demonstrating that the productivity and efficiency of his services are above the national average. He also expressed satisfaction that the new, more modern and streamlined premises will facilitate a better organization of work for what he described as “a small community.”;
