The new Jazz season kicks off in full swing! Olodum Musique presents Sezamo, the essential Jazz Club in Nice, completely revamped in a 1960s cabaret style, warm and friendly. Capable of accommodating nearly two hundred people, Sezamo now announces prestigious evenings thanks to the new programming and the boundless energy of the association. Proudly featuring a panel of both talented and experienced local artists, who finally stand out on the Nice Jazz scene. Sezamo Jazz nights are now tinged with Soul, Funk, World, Swing, Manouche, Gospel, Blues, Latino, appealing to an ever broader, more eclectic audience.

The association Olodum Musique successfully manages the unique project of a Jazz Club in Nice and hosts local artists every week. Each concert is an unforgettable discovery, a musical exploration around Jazz. Find talented artists every Friday and Saturday for quality Jazz evenings. On Sundays, Sezamo organizes Jam Sessions preceded by a Jazz Trio. Every Wednesday, find the group Littoral (Jazz, Soul, Latino). Every Tuesday, attend salsa lessons followed by a concert.
Schedule for January:
Friday 11 – Kaem Blues (Vocal Blues). Influenced by John Lee Hooker since the age of 20, singer and harmonica player Kaem charms a growing audience. Accompanied by the impactful and versatile guitarist Stéfane Durili, whose playing is tinged with jazz and funk, perfectly aligning with the exhilarating exuberance of the swinging and ebullient Fabrice Monleau on bass. Entry €10.
Saturday 12 – Sébastien Machado Quartet (Jazz blues & soul pianist singer). As a pianist and singer with a Soul voice, Sébastien Machado draws inspiration from African-American music, such as Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder. He will be accompanied by Alain Ruard on drums, Jean Michel Aublette on double bass, and Olivier Boutry on saxophone. Entry €10.
Sunday 13 – Sélim Nini Trio (Jazz Bebop). Promising saxophonist Sélim Nini, rising on the new local scene, will animate Sezamo with his trio performing Jazz standards in the style of Sonny Rollins. He will be accompanied by Ruth Lévy-Benseft on double bass and Toma Delor on drums. Entry €5.
