Uniqlo and Monoprix open at ICONIC, in the heart of Nice, the new spectacular architecture developed by Compagnie de Phalsbourg.
Today, the new ICONIC venue opens its doors in Nice. It is a project that will host eight different professional activities. It will feature shops, a gym, schools, offices, a performance hall, and a hotel part with the 4-star Hilton hotel.
The project aims to invigorate the Thiers station in Nice on a commercial, societal, and cultural level, as well as to create a link between it and Jean Médecin Avenue. Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, stated: “I am proud to inaugurate today, alongside Philippe Journo (President-founder of Compagnie de Phalsbourg), the first four stores of ICONIC. ICONIC also symbolizes the renewal of the Thiers station district, a pivotal point between the north and south of the city center.”
After the opening of Starbucks and Five Guys a few weeks ago, it is now Monoprix and Uniqlo’s turn to open their doors. ICONIC is opening in four phases throughout 2024. The next phase is the opening of the Hilton hotel, scheduled for the end of June 2024. Then afterwards, the schools and the gym will open at the start of the new school year.
The first four stores of ICONIC
Compagnie de Phalsbourg was created in 1989 by Philippe Journo. The company specializes in commercial real estate with very modern architecture. These projects are entirely financed by private funds. Here in Nice, with ICONIC, its modernity is well maintained, contrasting with the structures of Jean Médecin Avenue. The goal is to bring together very diverse audiences.
Uniqlo is a clothing brand for women and men, which chose ICONIC for its first establishment in the city center of Nice. Monoprix is unveiling its new premium food concept on more than 1,000 square meters. Five Guys is also revealing its first establishment in the center of Nice on this occasion. Finally, Starbucks is opening for the second time (Nice Etoile) in the center of Nice.
