The laying of the foundation stone for the new building on Trachel Street was the occasion for signing the prefiguration of the new Urban Renewal program which aims to rejuvenate four districts of the Metropolis: Ariane, Liserons to the east, and Point-du-Jour in Saint Laurent to the west as part of the Eco-Vallรฉe operation.
This ambitious objective aims for an urban and social revitalization of the most fragile areas, to sustainably improve the comfort and living conditions of all residents.
Four programs located in Nice have been validated to date by an agreement with ANRU and associated local partners*. They concern close to 5,500 housing units, 45,000 residents, and represent an investment of nearly 490 million euros over the period 2005-2021, in the Pasteur district (โฌ37M), Ariane (โฌ155M), Les Moulins (โฌ218M), and the Notre-Dame district (โฌ78M).
The NPRU follows up on the initial projects, with three modifications made to the intervention perimeter of the metropolis:
โ The districts of Les Moulins and Ariane have been registered as operations of national interest;
โ The Point-du-Jour district in St-Laurent-du-Var is added to the Les Moulins perimeter to form a single priority district under the city policy โMoulins-Point du Jourโ;
โ The district of Liserons in Nice is registered as an operation of regional interest.
The NPNRU prefiguration protocol of Nice Cรดte dโAzur is the first step in the project contractualization process.
Developed by the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis in close collaboration with all partners (cities, social landlords, ANRU, Region, CDC, State-DDTM), this protocol aims to present and explain the agglomeration strategy and territorial project at the scale of each of the 4 selected districts: the political ambition, strategic directions, and preliminary intervention pathways.
The financial agreements signed by all partners in 2018 will formalize a work program for the period 2018-2030.
