Following the appointment of Mr. Jean-Luc Allavena as Director of the Prince’s Cabinet on November 18, His Serene Highness the Sovereign Prince has appointed the Cabinet’s Advisors. On this occasion, he declared:

“I wanted to surround myself with a team distinguished by both the diversity of the backgrounds and professional paths of its members, as well as by the high level of expertise each holds in their respective areas. I also wanted a woman to join this Cabinet. I know I can count on each of them to fulfill their missions.”

As of today, the Prince’s Cabinet comprises a Director and four permanent Advisors, each with a well-defined sphere of activity, specialized by major area, while maintaining a certain versatility in handling the matters that come their way. External Advisors may later be appointed, particularly to address specific areas such as sports or culture.

Composition of the Cabinet of His Serene Highness the Sovereign Prince:

Mr. Jean-Luc Allavena, Director of the Cabinet. A Monégasque, 42 years old, married and father of four daughters, he holds a degree from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC). Before working alongside His Serene Highness the Prince, he was the Assistant General Manager of Lagardère Media Group.

Mr. Laurent Anselmi, Advisor in charge of legislative, institutional, social, and international affairs. A Monégasque, 43 years old, married and father of two daughters, this jurisprudence graduate has a DEA in fundamental public law. He is well acquainted with Monégasque institutions, having served as Chief Secretary of the National Council and General Secretary of the Directorate of Judicial Services, after holding various positions in the Department of Public Works and Social Affairs. Since July 2005, he had been the Director of Legal Affairs. He is also the author of several legal works and publications.

Mr. Robert Calcagno, Advisor in charge of equipment, urban planning, sustainable development, environment, and economic development sectors. Aged 45, married, father of three children, he is the son of a former divisional inspector of Public Safety. He completed all his secondary education at Lycée Albert1er and is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, and Columbia University. His professional career led him notably to Asia and Australia with the “Egis” group, which he joined in 1991, one of the world leaders in service provision, consultancy, engineering, and financing for development and transportation infrastructures, serving as General Manager from 2000 to 2003. As of that date, he became General Manager of Services of the Communauté d’Agglomération Nice Côte d’Azur.

Mr. Georges Lisimachio, Advisor in charge of the General Secretariat, he coordinates and follows up on files processed by the Prince’s Cabinet and handles financial affairs. A Monégasque, aged 49, married, three children, a jurist by training, he notably holds a third cycle Ph.D. in public law with a thesis on the Monégasque Constitution of 1962. His career in the Monégasque administration led him from the Princess Grace Hospital Center to the General Secretariat of the National Council, and, from 2000 to 2004, to the General Management of the Finance Department, before joining the Prince’s Cabinet in January 2005.

Ms. Christiane Stahl, Advisor in charge of Communication, Public Relations, and the Press Office. A mother of three children, this communication professional notably advised government leaders like Mr. Rafic Hariri, the Lebanese Prime Minister from 1999 until his death last February and Mr. Jacques Chirac, at the Paris City Hall, from 1989 to 1994. She also held communication management positions in leading companies (BDDP Group from 1987 to 1989, Française des Jeux from 1994 to 1998). She chairs the Michel Platini Association, dedicated to reintegrating former drug addicts into professional life.
