Karate becomes an Olympic discipline starting in 2020, at the Tokyo Olympics.
That was enough to motivate Christophe Pinna. World champion of all categories in karate in 2000, the Nice native decided to end his career at that time.
He had won everything, except one medal, the Olympic one, as karate was not an Olympic sport then.
Seventeen years after leaving competition (but not sport), Christophe Pinna has resumed training. As usual, with rigor, with passion, and accompanied by a physical trainer. He would participate, at 52, in the Tokyo Olympics.
There is still time to determine whether Christophe’s Olympic dream will remain a dream or if it can become a reality.
