After the senatorial elections during which the momentum that had caused a sensation in the European elections somewhat waned, the Front National in Nice gathered in its new headquarters under the leadership of Lydia Schenardi, departmental secretary, and the Nice delegate Robert Ripoll.
For Lydia Schenardi: The upcoming departmental deadlines will contribute to the success of the regional elections. Robert Ripoll has rebuilt a militant team with projects.
Robert Ripoll is optimistic: “The FN is developing, the political analysis concerning the upcoming departmental elections allows us to hope for 3 to 4 elected members within the General Council.”
A more developed new organization is being implemented:
Fernand Garcia is appointed operational manager, in charge of developing the general organization structure.
Alongside him, Dany Mirabello is appointed head of propaganda, Catherine Garcia is appointed head of communication, Georges Bailly is appointed head of the headquarters, and finally Christopher Lachat is appointed head of FN Youth.
The Front National has 2500 members in the Alpes-Maritimes and Robert Ripoll aims to reach 1000 in Nice.
While everything seemingly runs smoothly, there is still the issue of the Nice Bleu Marine group and Gaël Nofri who sit on the Nice Municipal Council and the Metropolitan Council posing a problem…
Lydia Schenardi dismisses it: He (Gaël Nofri, editor’s note) has never been FN, he follows a solitary path. He was simply employed during the European elections to cover his operating expenses.
As for Robert Ripoll, he is both more cutting and more tactical: “It’s a group split in two but we keep hope to reunite the lost sheep. Here, there will never be space for personal flights and/or ambitions. We are for reunification, those who wish ill or will be harmful to the movement for personal reasons, I wish them good luck!
As of today, Nice Bleu Marine would be the property of an individual and not of the party; if necessary, the judiciary will discuss it. If Nofri realizes the situation created and agrees to make amends, we will reevaluate our judgements… I believe in redemption!”
