Nice and Xiamen have signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the export of the Nice Carnival to Xiamen from April 29 to May 5 of this year.
The Nice Carnival, which celebrated its 133rd edition this year, is one of the three largest and most prestigious carnivals in the world.
This year, attendance dropped by 10% due to security concerns following the July 14, 2016 attack.
The 70 million annual visitors to Xiamen will thus be able to discover its giant float parades, its big heads, its troupes from around the world, all in a folkloric atmosphere!
For over 10 years, Nice has maintained trusting and strengthened cooperation relations with Xiamen, formalized by a twinning in 2014, particularly active in the fields of tourism, education, culture, and economy.
The organization of the Nice Carnival in Xiamen from April 29 to May 5 is a great opportunity for promoting Nice and its region in China.
