The King and Queen of the Nice Carnival have not stopped making headlines in the land of pandas, as evidenced by the media excitement surrounding their scheduled arrival next month in Xiamen.
The “Golden Week” in China is the most important holiday period in Asia, from April 29 to May 1, and was initially supposed to coincide with the 1st edition of the “Carnival of Nice” in Xiamen. Due to its success, with an already planned hotel occupancy rate of more than 92%, the Chinese city has proposed to postpone the event from May 11 to 14, 2017.
This change aims to ensure a better welcome for the approximately 100,000 spectators expected to attend the event, which will be the first “Carnival of Nice” on Chinese soil.
As part of the preparation for this event, a small Nice delegation composed of the organizers of the Nice Carnival stayed in Xiamen, carried out several extremely dense technical visits, and provided their expertise for this grand première.
