Several restaurateurs have come together to organize evening events. The goal is to revitalize the neighborhood in order to bring tourists back.
After COVID, when we were all somewhat confined, it’s important to be able to go out again, exchange, and share moments together. Initiated by the “Nice Centre Rive Droite” merchants, two evenings have already taken place yesterday. One of them was held on Chauvain Street. All the restaurateurs united to raise funds for the Lenval Foundation.
The restaurant “l’Ovale” located on Pastorelli Street brought together tourists and regulars around the theme of a “Latin evening.” For Christophe BREMARD, president of the “Nice Centre Rive Droite” association, choosing to donate the proceeds to the Lenval Hospital was a natural choice. “The restaurateurs of Chauvain Street wanted to highlight the cause of children because it’s a cause that resonates with everyone. We are fortunate to have this Lenval Hospital in Nice and to be able to showcase our local infrastructure.”
Furthermore, he states that this project came about naturally with the agreement of all the merchants:
“It came about through discussions with various people. Delille Street had already led the way for a while with its Delille Street ‘apéro’ events. The idea was to say that we need to bring life back to our neighborhood. It’s important after COVID when we were all somewhat confined, to be able to go out again, exchange, and share moments together.”
Despite the economic crisis affecting the country, the insurance broker remains hopeful and optimistic. “We’re not experiencing boom years. Nevertheless, we are lucky to be in a neighborhood where many locals live. They are fully aware that it’s important to keep the neighborhood functioning, to shop locally. It means that today, despite the crisis, things are holding up well.
